Local news station WGGB/WSHM reporter Addie Patterson along with Photo Journalist Matt White and Ty Coney were on hand to capture the annual lacrosse signing event for both the boys and girls teams. The signing event happened on November 8th at Longmeadow High School. 9 student lacrosse players for the class of 2024, signed their letters of intent to receive scholarships to play lacrosse in college. “364 of the days a year were concerned about team, this is the one day where we celebrate the individuals that have put in the hard work to go onto the next level. I’m just really proud of these guys,” said Keith Campbell. Local news station Western Mass NEWS (CBS3, ABC40, and FOX6) reporter Joe Chaisson is on hand to capture moments from signing day. Seven of the Longmeadow Lancer Boys Lacrosse players received scholarships to play lacrosse in college. Tony Adame writes for the popular sports website Stadium Talk. Tony recently wrote an article where he outlines the ranking order of High School Lacrosse teams nationally that have the most Championship wins. Longmeadow was ranked very high in the ordering of schools nationally. Tony goes on to write "The greatest high school lacrosse dynasty in the U.S. resides at Longmeadow High, where the team has won at least one state championship in six consecutive decades dating back to the 1970s.
